| Does anyone support older Baja boats for parts, restoring..... the company has nothing...or are they just so bad they do not last long enough to bother. Was looking at an 1989 Islander 19'... any suggestions or buy a better known boat..................The Baja factory gives no support guess they don't give hoot about older boat owners...good thing Mercedes did not have that attitude. |

| do i have the right prop? |
| i just bought a 97 baja 272 188 hrs. super clean and when i had it out i could only get about 4100 rpms and 55mph out of it. did all the playing around with the trims so i dont think its that. it has a mirage 23p prop on it. do i need to go to a 21p or do i have another problem? any input would be most helpful! oh yeah it has a 454 magnum merc |

| My '95 Baja Outlaw SST w/454 Magnum EFI started leaking under front of motor and pulley not turning. Do you need to remove the back seat assy. to repair? Not much room in front! |

| 1994 Islander 170 |
| I recently purchased a 1994 Baja Islander 170. It has a 1994 Mercury 125 ELPTO and 13x19 aluminum prop. I changed all spark plugs and fuel filter yesterday. When I took the boat out yesterday evening. I couldn't acheive a top speed over 30 MPH (GPS) at 5000rpms. The boat seems sluggish out of the hole and will die if I give it too much throttle. Any suggestions? anybody? |

| tight steering |
| I have a 1997 baja boss that I replace the power steering pump on and still have very tight steering which lead me to believe it is the steering cable which seems pretty easy to change! My question is, is possible to disconnect fron the steering column and spray lubricant in the cable? I am trying for the easiest fixes before actually changing the cable! |
